Game looks boring. I won't be buying it on anything.

Each to there own, I personally think it looks absolutely amazing/fascinating.

Though I do hope it has lots to do in it, as there is some concern its just open world and not much else. Might pick up the mag tonight.. might be the first time in a long time I've brought a magazine..lol :D

That's good, I'm glad you will find joy in it . To me it's like watching shit decompose. Maybe shit decomposing would be even more fun to watch than this.

Pretty sure he meant with the X1.... Minecraft owes very little to the 360, this game was pretty big on PC before it ever hit a console.  I am well aware that Minecraft hit Live before mobile (Android first) however that was a few months apart and the mobile versions were development before they could have known how well it would have even done on the console. Mobile has done more for minecraft then a console any for that matter has ever done. I would also not discount the pull Steam has with Indies, I would say Steam is just as big if not bigger.

And the only thing you talk about is Minecraft.

Sure it was launched on PC and it was famous before X360. However, on Xbox 360 it sold faster than any other game except GTA.

Now, where you gonna pull the mobile numbers to compare them to consoles?

You said rose to fame, and then in your last statement said "sure they were famouse before the X360" So I am confused, how can they "rise to fame" when they are already famous"?

I also mentioned Steam, that platform is a HUGE indie games pusher and has been for along time! Your giving MS way to much credit for something Steam had been doing for awhile. Now bringing indies to console gamers I will give them credit for that, but since late last generation MS has dropped the ball on indies and Sony has picked it up and ran with it!.  It's funny though because when MS had the ball, Indies were the greatest now that Sony is firmly in the Indie camp they are not so cool anymore.

On the numbers:

"Today's announcement brings total sales of Minecraft across all platforms very close to the 50 million mark. Earlier this month, Mojang announced it had sold more than 21 million copies of Minecraft: Pocket Edition on Android and iOS; more than 12 million copies of the Xbox 360 Edition; and more than 1.5 million copies of the PlayStation 3 Edition — making for a sum of at least 49.5 million units. PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vitaand Xbox One versions of Minecraft are still on the way."

Seems like Mobile really gave the game it's "rise to fame" (as you put it).

Being the publisher doesn't mean ownership. Tequila Works might after a year drop it on PC or Xbox.

When sony or nintendo publish a game,it will be exclusive for their machine.Doesn't matter how much port-beg people do.

Microsoft on the other hand...

Microsoft on the other hand, supports PC gaming also.

Nothing wrong with as it is really for the gamers. Most of the time MS let the devs self-publish their (MS's State of Decay as an example) IPs, to further compensate the studios for their work. And port beg is for the petition making crowd, which does not include Xbox gamers.

Good. Now I'm only waiting for Rime to go to PC.

Sony is the publisher so never!

That doesn't mean a thing. Microsoft published Dead Rising 3, however Capcom is publishing the Windows PC version in September.

Sony is also publishing the 3 PlayStation versions of Minecraft, it really doesn't mean a thing.

A little reading and comprehension would've saved your time.

Plus, I didn't know Minecraft PE was $7. And console edition is $20.

Your splitting hairs. You wanted numbers (rather sarcastically but they are there) , I gave them to you... since they fly in the face of the point you were trying to make your going to find some way to dismiss them.

I thought it was old news that it would also come to PC. I doubt we'll see this on any Microsoft systems ever though. It's possible, but Xbox isn't the best place to try to sell indie games.

Limbo, Fez, Minecraft, State of Decay, Battleblock Theater, Feeding Frenzy, Trials series, Meat Boy, Braid. Guess where they rose to fame before Indie was a hip thing for publishers to brag about?

Do you remember this? I don't think I am having an issue with reading comprehension, thanks for your concern.  Also U don't see you saying anything on the impact steam has had on indies either rather giveing a lot of credit to MS and nobody else.

It was already known that it was coming to the PC as well as the PS4. What we didn't know was that it would be a timed exclusive on the PS4. The developers haven't mentioned the XB1 at all, which is worrying for 'some' people.

The PS5 Exists.

I need to know more about this game. Like what else is there to do but flying from location to location? Do we have info on all the gameplay mechanics?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

1- My splitting hair? The comparison between the Minecraft editions here, is like comparing Fifa on consoles vs mobile editions. That was my mistake.

2- Yes I do remember. Do you remember this: "And the only thing you talk about is Minecraft.

I acknowledge that Minecraft had a bit of success before jumping to 360; however, a year or less after launching on PC, it dropped on Xbox to become the fastest selling game on consoles.

And you didn't even talk about the other examples I gave. This debate is whether it is a good idea to launch an Indie game on a Microsoft platform.

You turned this into a different argument for your agenda.
