NYJ-SD 2 CIN-NE 2 BYE   SEA-WAS 1 x 13

More or less betting on home teams this week, with exception given to the Falcons just because.

A few of these are tough, Chicago might beat the Panthers, Steelers might prevail in Jacksonville, KC has a legit shot at SF's wobbly but talented group, and even Arizona just might surprise the Broncs. Other than that, looks like a week with a lot of solid home teams imho. Philly, Detroit, Green Bay, Indy, San Diego, and of course Denver should all be solid favorites. NO at home is strong as hell as well, though god awful on the road for some reason. I forgot that KC is also a lot like that in last week's picks, or I would have bet on them vs. the unstable Patriots. But this week KC is on the road, and Arrowhead is as much a 12th man as any home field on earth, so I don't think they string together back to back godlike performances this time.

Washington's showdown with Seattle should be unique. It could be a complete blowout, or a real game depending on just how they show up to play. They played like beasts against Philly, and then proceeded to stink their home field out of town the very next week. So lose. Much unwin. I feel for any WAS fans out there. It's gotta be frustrating to go from RG3's brilliant and promising first season, overachieving beyond belief and hinting at future greatness, and then to come to this season's utter mess. Even before RG got broken, he wasn't the same, and the entire team seems unbalanced and out of sync. You can tell the talent is there in many respects, but it seldom meshes together meaningfully. Their best game this year is still their loss to Philly though. In that way it reminds me of Dallas last year, Dallas best game was something like a 48-51 shootout vs. Denver at the height of Peyton's run to the SB. 3 points. It was a stunning game honestly, and Dallas played way above their norm, because they basically sucked the rest of the year. But that one game they were gods, and it was more of a win than any of their actual wins imho, in terms of showing what they COULD do, if everything clicked. It was the kind of game where if it went on for 5 more minutes, the other team would have won, and then 5 more minutes it would flip again, etc. Almost 100 points of offense. My condolences to anyone who missed it, it was insanity perfected with superhuman performances.

finally some pp,need that pp

edit- why do i only get 2pp we all got 8-5 for the week

Because you made the worst Monday Night pick by predicting the highest win for the Patriots out of the 8-5 bunch.

harsh, that good old PP rides on the MNF score,if 5 of us are tied on 8-5 or whatever i should get the most pp for picking from little england, same goes for you

@ choco only when they are winning :), i had the chiefs down last time should have picked them again and i really thought i picked green bay, disappointed when i saw i'd picked chicago

I just think they're a bad team overall, and that their good performance was the result of the opposition prepping for RGIII rather than Cousins. Take that out of the mix, and they don't seem to have much on the field. I thought Cousins might be decent, and thus take advantage of a good receiver corps, but if he keeps making those boneheaded decisions like before...

Looks like local blackouts (in all sports) may finally be a thing of the past. The NFL's anti-trust is exemption is also in question (MLB first dudes), although that one is unlikely to happen soon in my opinion.

Good. This never affected me personally. Though it makes no sense since the NFL make so much money by airing games live on tv, console, pc, tablet and phones. It does not require huge attendance to make money.

I'm a cable cutter myself, so I hate that ESPN has games not on broadcast, but I thank God for streaming.  I never miss a game now.

Espn can be annoying. Yeah, I like all kinds of streaming. The console streaming is increadible for games other than my local Broncos.

I am sad that the NFL has gotten so ludicrously expensive to go to games. I want to take my sons when they get older, but it will have to be one of those 'once every few years' things, because the pricing is absolutely batshit insane (I live in Dallas near the Deathstar, so the tickets are beyond spleen-rupturing for anything where you can actually see the field).
