I liked Phil Simms until last Sundays Broncos-Chiefs game. The guy obviously was openly hoping the Chiefs would come back and win the game. It was a terrible mess from a guy that is suppossed to remain objective. I think there are over 30,000 signatures to not have him back. He even came out and said I am not rooting for the Chiefs here, probably because his own bosses, staff and collaegues were picking up on the bias. I have talked to others at work that feel the same, and my dad and I commented about it a lot during the latter part of the game.

ANNOUNCEMENT - Week 2 Results and Standings

Week 2 had several upsets which resulted in a mediocre performance for our prediction league. Only a single 11-5 record, a couple of 10-6s, plus a bunch of 9-7s. That's only 10 out of 33 with a positive record, excluding the two no-shows. You may notice the three players with orange records that got a 1 in the PP column, that's the prize for a spot on Monday Night prediction. This prediction point does not improve their ranking in the results for the simple reason that it would be meaningless additional work for me. However, it does matter in the standings.

The standings saw a lot of position-shuffling. Obviously because we are still at the beginning of the season, so things are so close that two digit rises and falls are nothing out of the ordinary. Not many players managed to be good in both weeks, so there's only one guy who sits alone at the top with more than 20 correctly picked games.

Right result, wrong reason. You shouldn't want him gone because he hates your team, you should want him gone because he's just a nudge about Joe Buck as a commentator. Less arrogant, but even more ignorant.
