That Yuru Camp scene with the glasses girl cooking was hilarious. Gosh. I consider it revenge for her wasting poor Fang Lip's study time last week.

Grancest Senki has some great moments, some good moments, some dumb moments...but that final scene was just too much. I just reeeeeeally hate NTR. Though I still don't get why Marrine is so fatalistic when pretty much every important person wants peace. It just seems like people need to sit down and talk and focus on whatever bad guy stopped them from having an alliance last time.

At least the MCs are together. Seems so rare to see an efficient love confession in anime.

Hmm, I actually have seen some really hardcore NTR myself, it doesn't bother me to be honest.

You brave brave man...*puts a sad but impressed paw on you*

Sangatsu is back! Feel like I haven't watched this in ages..but I guess it was just a few weeks. Nice focus on a character that's been around a while but hasn't gotten much exposition.

New Dahring was silly...I mean yeah, the characters are kids in puberty but the girls' attitude is just dumb. You'd think they'd have other things to worry about. I liked the resolution though, and 02's smile is a miracle cure. Seems like Animegaming might be right about the girl with the baby book.

Also I'm like a week or more late, but Crunchyroll Anime Awards are over. As expected, My Hero Academia won nearly everything, but there were some nice exceptions in Made in Abyss winning AOTY and Best Score, and Sangatsu taking best Continuation. Not all my choices, but not far off either.

Last update, but I'll keep the current poll up till Friday, and then will probably switch to AOTY voting till the season ends. This is pretty early though...so if you have a fun idea for a poll to squeeze in between...let me know!

Just saw the first episode of  "B The Beginning" on netflix and it's really good.

Climb might not want to ever tell his princess no.

Might get to watch a bit more anime because 1: I got to eat a bunch of food, and I like to watch anime with food. And 2: DW9 platinum is wearing me down a bit, gotta go steady rather than marathon it.

I have watched 2 anime since I posted though.

Tanaka-kun is always listless, was an odd anime. It was honestly the perfect sleeper anime, best used one episode right before bed. Still gave me some laughs by how ridiculous it could be. The Op was okay.

Kakegurui is kind of like No Game No Life. I haven't watched too many Square Enix anime, but they come out with at least one good anime a year. The facial expressions were hideous, so good job on that I suppose. The plot was okay for what was given, but their needed to be more motivations. The OP and ED were okay.

Overall both decent, I didn't get bored. Waiting for a nice hit soon though, also will watch more battle anime (One Piece) soon, so I am excited for that. Though I don't ever post about One Piece because I keep it almost eternally ongoing even more so than it already is.

You can post about One Piece if you want, it's basically a Japanese national treasure. Though I only read the manga so I can only smile awkwardly and nod.

I liked the recent (current?) OP though.

Just finished Angel Beats yesterday. Overall feeling was very positive. Like Charlotte, had some parts where it felt like too much plot was being crammed in at once, and certain things were introduced way too quickly, but the overall setting and story was really interesting, and I liked the characters a lot. Last episode was absolutely beautiful, and was a wonderful way to end it.

Now I'm watching SNAFU. Seems pretty good so far. I like the prickly MC, and the girls seem cool. Seems confusing as heck to give both the girls Double Y names...but this probably isn't as confusing reading in Japanese.

Is One Piece even worth it nowadays? Haven't they just power crept the shit out of everything?

That's why I am happy to be 200+ episodes behind. Also to skip filler. Every episode is only like 15 minutes worth of content nowadays too.

Surprisingly no, in terms of scale when it comes to One Piece the Marineford arc is still the power sealing of the series and that arc was several years ago.

Like what One Piece does instead of introducing a brand new powerful villain after each new arc, it will instead take time to set that villain up several arc prior, even if it takes years for Luffy to finally go up against that villain.

Hell some times Oda will throw us a curve ball and have a pretty weak villain power wise compare to the Straw Hats.

I find that pretty appealing honestly. It's cool how side characters, especially villains, remain viable for so long after they leave the story. Sir Crocodile is a great example, Luffy beats him like 100 chapters in, and 400 chapters later he's one of the most powerful players in the Marineford War with no apparent power-up. I much prefer fights being situational than being built around some arbitrary number.

The world building is the real appeal of the series though.
