I like Toji no Miko. I thought I knew exactly what was coming with the first episode but it really surprised me. Yeah, the characters are your typical anime cliches but I like that it seems to be building up to a battle with the elites.

Of course, we already know who is going to be on Team Protagonist thanks to the OP/ED.

You mean Akari? I believe she works at a hostess club, which is like a place where pretty women work and serve alcohol and food to businessmen. Don’t really know a western equivalent, but I see them in anime a lot. Seems PG, it’s the same job Otae in Gintama has.

Yeah Akari.Kind of butchered her name there XD

What an odd job.Its like a company for when you are having dinner or just going to a bar.I mean, it must be nice, because those woman must be pretty easy going and really entertaining to have a conversation, due to the nature of her job, but that kind of job description is usually relagated to a less type of honorable line of work in the west.At least thats the first thing that came to mind.

I think it has to do with some Japanese people being too busy with work to develop relationships.  So, when they're lonely, they go to a Host or Hostess club and spend money in exchange for attention.  The job of the Host/Hostess is to coerce visitors into buying expensive drinks and food.  My understanding is that it can be shady or non-shady, depending on how far they want to go for money.  Some become escorts who do nothing more than go on dates with steady clients.

I remember reading that some Japanese game developers like to talk business at Hostess clubs.  It's apparently a common thing to take business clients out to a hostess club.

Oh, interesting!

But just as a side note:Im not trying to downplay their job, and it is obviously not the ssame thing, but escorts in general do the same thing. Many mens and woman they seek them also dont want to do sex or anything of the sort, rather they just want someone to talk to, like a teraphy sessions.

Thanks for the clarification.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Gee, Dagashi Kashi turned the fanservice up to 11. Don't remember any gratuitous bath scenes in season 1 but maybe I just forgot.

Also didn't realize MC was so horny for the girl with the Rinnegan. Or that the blonde boy wants to see his sister bathing that bad.

Yuru Camp is so nice, I feel like taking a nap whenever I watch it. The good relaxed kind not the bored kind. Also my cat jumps on my lap whenever I watch this show, it's probably safe to say this is Mao's AOTS.

I watch on those unnofficial sites, but I generally buy official DVDs or Manga sets of that franchise later on to support it.

Yuru Camp is growing on me. Nadeshiko might actually be my Best Girl of the season. Though generally all characters in that show are really nice and adorable.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Well I finished Devilman Crybaby. The show reminded me a lot of Parasyte at first. But this show has sex and violence in every episode. It is really the first time I seen a japanese anime to compete with Game of Thrones in that regard, without calling it hentai. The show was otherwise pretty crazy, but I felt it could have used the usual 13 episodes rather than 10.

Dat ending

Overlord II -- So, wait, the main character is the bad guy in this? Well, damn, why am I watching this?

So there is an anime about beach volleyball coming out soon.  When I first saw this picture, though, I thought it was the girls from Hibike! Euphonium and I got a little excited.
