And this was the 10,000th post!

Thank you. As ruler of the anime thread, I take full credit for this achievement.

Just kidding, thanks to VancelX, Versus, and Shadow...wherever you all are. *looks off into the starry night*

Net-juu was great this week...ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER THOUGH. I like that things are actually being revealed and not just remaining a secret until the last two episodes.

Kekkai Sensen looks amazing...but I wonder how long we're going to be getting character intro episodes for. We're 18 episodes in now and still learning about the main cast. Oh well...the car chase was godly.

Also not expecting much...but I'm already shipping Twi with blondie in Blend-S. Whether he likes it or not.

I deserve better than this, I trusted you.

Also, Houseki no Kuni is great, my kind of show, with some pretty strong shipping material (I can say is yuri, cause genderless stones, so is fair game) on top of a solid CG anime with likeable characters, decent world building, nice atmosphere and music.

Don't have a color preference, but I'm making this out of contract just so Boom doesn't ban me.

A couple of cool blondes.

Chitoge, she was always an entertaining character in Nisekoi, cool tsun with some great expressions, always a highlight for me, plus her mom is cool.

Fate-chan from Mahou Shoujo Nanoha, a badass, the softest mom ever for Vivio and the best wife for Nanoha.

Diana (she counts for the boss and is my post so), another badass with a pure heart and not a single straight bone, best wife for Akko.

Welp, I finally binge watched and finished the rest of Made in Abyss. I was kinda hoping for something more conclusive but I'm satisfied. By the simple rule to make me cry (a lot) this has deserved its spot in my prestigious league of 10s. The amazing art and music as well es the excellent realism in the story progression make this a lock-in.

Having two more potential 10s this season makes this easily one of the best years in anime of all time.

The manga is nowhere close to a conclusion, though.  They could have included the next "arc" if they scrunched things up a lot but I'm glad they did not.  The final episode was perfect and deserved all the time it got.  Easily one of the best single episodes I've ever seen.  That powerful mix of conflicting emotions was a memorable way to end the season.

The Bondrewd chapters really deserve several episodes of their own.  His base is the only way to get to the next level, which is the "point of no return."  That's why I originally assumed it would be included in the anime, even if they had to cut a lot.

However, after the end point of season one is where Made in Abyss gets really dark and absolutely freaking brutal.  I'm both looking forward to it and dreading it.

I don't know. For me they definitely blew their load here. I don't think they can conjure up something that is even more brutal and disturbing. We saw the horror, now it's time to fight the horror.

Just finished Burst Angel (Bakuretsu Tenshi)... I just kinda picked something to watch from the collection of anime boxsets at my job, and it was....meh.

Lots of fanservice in the designs, but the series may as well been unaware of the fact. There was only one episode made to really capitalize on it (beach episode), and I was fine with it either way. The mech cgi was pretty well done, and any fight involving a mech was done well...the actually drawn fights had varying quality. The big bads plans didnt make much sense in the grand scheme of things, and they establish a lot of throwaway secondary characters. It couldve been a 12 instead of 24 episode series and probably wouldve been better because of it.

I did like all of the core characters, but it was really weird that the first few episodes establishes a "grounded" main male character that ends up being ignored for the rest of the show. He literally ended the series oblivious to every major plot point in the show, and was absent the majority of the final arc.

It would be hard to recommend; unless you are desperate for a Cowboy Bebop mecha-western world, avoid.

Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda!!!!

Well, this was the first lame episode of Shokugeki this season. I hope they pick it up soon now that they covered some boring back stories.

I'm really digging the dynamic ED in Shokugeki. The shifting characters were already cool, but little things like swapping Erina's silhouette with her child version, and that amazing end card are fantastic. Gives me motivation to actually watch the ED every week.

And best girl for the season was confirmed yet again after that backstory, not that I ever had any doubt.

Amazing episode, and looking forward to next week...even if Ketchup fight is kind of terrible.

------------

Also, I'll probably swap the poll this Friday instead of next, since this one is kind of boring.

Is anyone watching Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte kara? It's definitely an interesting title, mostly in that each episode is 3 MINUTES roughly. It's not something I'm sure I could recommend. Heck, if you wanted to watch the whole thing once it's out, you can probably watch it all in less than an hr. I suppose you can watch it if you want to roughly learn about different drinks, see a girl be cute, or like blondes. Also, it's kinda like a fun-size version of Bartender in terms of being cuter and much lighter.
