This is why I'm staying away more and more of "serious" dramas. They're inferior to comedies in one point.
Comedies employ old tropes for shits and giggles. Dramas try to play old tropes straight. And that's when they fall apart.

Zankyou no Terror was a solid 9 after the first ep with high aspirations for a 9.5. After ep 3 it's down to 8.5.

They should also be careful to not pull any of this unrealistic hacker shit. A real turn off for me.
