Interesting news today. Apparently Regalia was canceled after ep 4. According to the creators the quality was lower than they envisioned it. It's gonna restart with the first episode in september.

I actually have never seen an anime canceled mid season before.

New Kuroko movie will adapt Extra Game on Spring 2017. I enjoyed those chapters, seeing the Generation of Miracles join forces one more time for a common enemy was pretty cool.

Edit: LOL sorry viv, didn't mean to quote you xD

But yeah, I've never seen that happen before either. Really weird, there must be something else too.

Rewrite...hmmm.....I'm up to date with the show at this point, but so far, it isn't feeling very unique.

To be blunt, it is kind of feeling too much like Charlotte. Superpowered high school kids, all happen to end up in the same place and the same club, a government agency trying to collect superpowered kids, a potential alternate timeline where the MC messed everything up, OP MC that has forgotten so much on purpose likely through rewriting his own memory, etc.. It may be different names, different powers, and a different place, but as the show continues on, it feels distrinctly less unique than it seemed like it would after the first episode. I also get the feeling that, like Angel Beats and Charlotte, Rewrite is going to feel pretty rushed by the time it's done.

I had higher hopes for it when it first kicked off, but I guess it will probably end up being pretty average and not exactly breaking new ground throughout. I know it's a Key visual novel adaptation, but this one is so samey it is kind of ridiculous.

I am watching now Shirobako.

Well basically an anime about an anime studio watched trough mostly Aoi who with her friends always wanted to make their own anime.
Personally a must watch for any anime fan it makes you appreciate anime a lot more.

I am kind of shocked how unpopular it is based on ratings especially for a show that is very recent.
Honestly this is more of my cup of tea, I like 'more' realistic anime and you feel the struggle of some characters.  I enjoy New Game but some moments make me cringe and feels like fan service.   Anyway Shirobako and Genshiken are the kind of anime that i enjoy the most. Tried some other anime because I want to find a very funny one, As a teen I was really into Azumanga D'aioh pity their will never a Yotsuba& anime.

Also awkward to read Lucky's last comment cause the studio titanic is also in the anime:

If Shirobako has a low rating then that tells me everything I need to know about the site where that happens.  It's easily one of the best anime of the last several years.

To add onto this, it wasn't especially popular when it was airing, but high praise got a lot more people to come back to it and it has become one of the most popular anime of this decade so far. I felt like I was hopping on the train pretty late when I watched it a couple months back considering it felt like everybody had already seen and loved it.

Shirobako huh...never heard of it until now. Guess I should put it on my list as it sounds interesting and everyone here seems to enjoy it.

Let's just say I couldn't help it and put it on my coveted 10/10 list. A feat only 10 animes managed so far. That means it's the best that anime has to offer, especially for adults.

Here are some comedy animes for you:

K-ON

Ichigo Mashimaro

Pani Poni Dash

D-Frag

Renkin San-kyuu Magical? Pokaan

Hanamaru Youchien

Milky Holmes

Yurumates 3D

GJ Bu

Sabagebu

Ai Mai Mii

Namiuchigiwa no Muromi san

Mikakunin de Shinkoukei

Non non Biyori

Working!

Wakaba Girl

Anne Happy

Sansha Sanyou

All of these got a 9/10 from me and I highly recommend all of them. For starters you should try Ichigo Mashimaro or Pani Poni Dash since it's probably the most similar to Azumanga.

For all the shaftfags out there a little Nostalgia trip.

Proving again that Shaft has the best and most creative OPs of all time.

I was conflicted between two words praise and ratings but I felt both are not right and cause I did not find any word in the english vocabulary that explains what I mean I just went with ratings. I was in a manga anime club in Belgium and in Osaka basically was nothing more than a club for people who atleast once a week want to meet people and talk about their hobby have activities. Those people still send me a lot of recommendations but Shirobako was not one of them. I asked them before watching Shirobako if they liked it and I got the standard answer 'it is good' that mostly means that it is okay but doesn't sound like it is great.

Just like Genshiken I feel it is not underrated but euhm under'praised'. Like a great game releasing on a platform that is not popular so most people don't talk about it and the fans don't understand why it is not more popular.  Meh you get what I mean =p.
