Honestly one of the most moving works of manga I've ever read. The story starts with a girl transfering into elementary school. She's very sweet and friendly but she is mostly deaf and is unable to speak well so she uses a notebook to communicate. It isn't long before the class turns on her and the bullying starts. Almost the whole class is involved but there is one boy who keeps pushing her harder and harder. It's kind of difficult to read, as she just wanted to make friends. It eventually becomes serious enough that adults have to step in, at which point the boy takes all the blame as the class turns on him instead. He becomes a pariah and and outcast, which changes his life in many ways. There are other characters who go through a lot, too, like the girl's little sister and the other classmate who also got bullied for trying to help.

This has the potential to be in my top ten, too bad i have to wait years for this :(
