Golden focuses on the extra stuff added to the enhanced port of the game Persona 4 Golden. It doesn't tell the same story as the first season, since it's already told and just focuses on the new girl(who becomes super important to the story), extra SoL scenes and the added story after Yu beats "him".If you loved the first season, I do think you'll enjoy watching the gang again, especially if you've played Golden. So I say, give it a shot :)

If you skipped all 19 episodes of filler you would have been done in 85 episodes .

Yeah nowadays I skip almost all filler. With so much experience watching them, they never seem worth it.
