So what do you think is the next new/ish show that will go for like 200+ episodes?

Nah, I think Toei is going to take a break since it's catching up real fast to the manga ...

Boku no Hero Academia could do it depending on the pacing but I think the days of adapting long running mainstream battle manga are over ...

Rebooting Tokyo Ghoul is the most likely candidate to reach a 200+ episode series (I'm definitely not counting on it happening though) ...

Unbroken runs seem to be a thing of the past. That's fine with me, to be honest, as filler usually sucks. Instead, was have a lot of stuff getting second and third seasons. The problem there, of course, is that they try to fit long arcs into 13 episodes, which can also suck.

What was the last one that achieved it? FairyTail?

Pocky Lover Boy!

Good question. I think Jojo will probably be the next one if they decide to animate the other parts (there are 8 parts so far and they've only animated 3 of them ).
74 episodes in 3 parts and they still have 5 more to animate for now (and each new part is more or less the same length as part 3, which was 48 episodes).
Really looking forward to it if they decide to animate it all! It's always good to have more Jojo.

Stardust Crusaders was fantastic, and I'm definitely ready for Josuke. I don't like the new animation style as much as the old one, but I'm hoping seeing it in motion will change my mind.

For the long-running anime question, I think it's more likely to be a reboot of an older series rather than anything new. Considering that the anime adaptations are often used to sell manga/novels, waiting for the source material to build up before starting the anime isn't really practical.

Personally, I've grown to prefer multi-season series over endless filler arcs, at least given the option. Just as long the pacing isn't crap of course...which really is the big question.

Yes man! Diamond is Unbreakable, is gonna be so good animated! Araki's style definitely changed quite a bit after part 3 (probably because it resembled fist of the north star so much), but it ain't bad, it's just more fabulous I guess would be the best way to put it. It definitely takes some getting used to, but I've grown quite fond of it :)

Easy poll, Bleach FTW!

Naruto is pretty good too though. Gintama and One Piece are just bad IMO.

Well time to unfriend the polar bear then. Anyone who thinks one piece is bad can no longer be my friend. RIP Ka-pi.
