Yuru Yuri ep. 2 was hilarious. Kyoko-chan is probably the best character in anime but everyone was killing it today. Excellent episode all the way through.

For a moment I thought I was watching the same anime twise:

Main charactere:-Red haired Princess-Tsundere- Fighting for her country- First scene showing her is when changing clothe and the boys main charactere accidentally enter the room(lol),- Magical ability:fire,- boys main character has a silver haired sister, he is very powerful but no one is aware of that until they find out during the duel against the girls main charctere in the first episode (lol)

they seriously need to do something about their inspiration...  At least I watched to good movies recently, Psycho Pass and Kyoukai no kanata

I wonder how serialisation works in these studios, there so many nice mangas who takes to much time to get serialised or even doesn't get serialised at all, and look what we get in the same season 2 "almost" identical animes, like watching full metal achemist and ful metal alchamist brotherhood in the same season lol  

I don't know how it is with light novels but I remember reading that editors are responsible for like 50% of the final content in a manga, more or less depending on the prestige of the mangaka.  I honestly think that probably accounts for some of the more formulaic elements we see repeated so often.  The try to emulate what's popular instead of trying to understand why something is popular.

Awhile back, at the end of a manga I was reading, the mangaka published some of her rejected designs for the main character.  Shockingly, the one that got approved was more attractive than the original and had the biggest boobs.  I think that tells us a lot.

Mermaid Drive: Valkyrie or whatever was pretty bad.  The art is kind of ugly and the Eiken-type breasts are strange looking.  The masochist weapon-girl was awesome, though, and those have to be the most polite snakes on earth.  Maybe this was the Real Snake Island?  If so, they're lucky they didn't get bitten.

Yeah i know what you mean. Like for mangas i do just read the first chapter or at least a couple pages if i like the art style and the story. But for some reason i just dont have that motivation to watch something even for a few minutes if i dont find anything i like in those 4 steps. Maybe i just have soooo much things to do. Or theres that "I rather do this than do that" =D
