I don't know about Italy or Portugal, but PS4 is the fastest selling console in history in Spain, so the adoption has been good. Europe has always been slower to adopt new generations anyway.

It's also the fastest in Portugal too, dunno about Italy. I was just saying that even with that rate it's still not enough to top software charts because of the last part of your post.

italy is a much smaller market than both of those. I wish we still had access to Italian HW sales so I could point out that the PS3 wasn't very far ahead.

italy population: 60 million

spain population: 45 million

 

and they got similar economic problems
