is this true? i saw the livestream with that guy that already has the copy of the game, and i didn't see any difference when he disabled the "30fps lock"

right now there is no difference.

ND said that they improved more the shadows on 30fps option cuz they can.

it will available with day one patch. give options is a bad thing now

anyway u know how some people on internet react.

and most of them dont own ps4 go figure.

Only person reacting in here is you.... Most people seem happy that there is a choice, or are saying that shadows don't matter to them so theyll stick to 60FPS.

It is just shadows guys. They explained a while ago the 30fps was for the PS3 "purists" who wanted the game to feel as close to the original. With them limiting it to 30fps, they could up some details that would probably hurt that 60fps mark. This is the way every developer should do it. Give the user an option to play @ 60fps but lose some detail, or play @ 30fps and gain some detail.

I am a PC gamer #1 and the first thing aside from AA that I turn down to gain fps is shadows. They look good sure, but you hardly notice it when enjoying the game and they hit the performance a lot.

They should allow video settings on all console Games,  especially bioware games, those games run like a nightmare the fps goes too low that it sometimes feel like you are blinking, especially during cutscenes I feel for people who played me1 on Xbox and I feel bad about people who still have faith in bioware (crappy game after crappy game)

Wow, Naughty Dog is so untalented. They can't achieve both good shadows and 60fps with a port of a Ps3 game? Man they should go bankrupt and leave the industry at once.

Seriously, over shadows? The ****. Most of the time I turn shadows off to keep the FPS up on my PC games, if I get drop issues. I can care less about shadows.

nah..they are good...they are getting to better understand the PS4 engine.

An easy graphics feature to add to eat up extra ms is to increase sample fetching.60 fps still great shadows. 30 fps more samples cuz we can

i guess this ends all the ignorant comments in this thread. it was pretty clear the shadows in the TLoU:R running at 60fps were going to be much better than the ps3 version (heck, we saw pics already and nobody went and said "shitty shadows!!"). and it was clear the comments here meant that the 30fps will recieve an upgrade over that. hence the "highER quality shadows, not "high" quality shadows. but oh well, people love to bash this game.

The comments being made about TLOUR should go into a compilation of the internet's most ignorant comments of all time
