how fast do the best athletes in the world outside of us run the 40 yard dash?

im sure their are NFL players who run it just as fast or faster and are bigger and stronger.

have you noticed that the best players in the world arnt big strong super-athletes? no matter how good of an athlete they were, ANY american would get carved up by the likes of Ronaldo and Messi

thats because our best athletes do not play soccer.  We clearly have the best athletes in the world ..Imnot seeing any proof other wise...

 Their are athletes playing soccer just like Oguchi Onyewu the only he did was getting red cards;..And then get mad at the referee...

did you even read my post? football (soccer) is NOT based on athletic ability! your best athletes would SUCK at it.

and anyway, the fastest runner in the world is a Jamaican . and anyway, you only have other good athletes because of steroids. as proof, the last American who broke the 100m world record got it stripped because he tested positive

How abouts everyone just makes up their own definition of what is athletic so that it suits the point they are trying to make. Oh wait, no, that's why we have dictionaries;)

Weezy, this is akin to the childish belief that a professional wrestler would dominate had they played football, or basketball, or professional fighting, or hockey.

Believing in a fantasy world is fine for enjoyment, but pretty ridiculous in any claim. Fascinating to watch national pride on this level though. The nation that is created by the individuals can is survived by complete indoctrination and unfathomable nonsensical pride in acheivements by others?

Although, say there was one ultimate, final test for the best athlete. It's possible that they would be American. It's more probable it wouldn't be. But possible. It's possible that for whatever reason, Luxembourg would have the best all around athlete, Spain would have the fastest runner, India would have a cricketeer that no one can match, Mexico produces the fastest skater etc...

if you add "practicing soccer since they are 4 year olds"

it would = DOMINATION. kicking a ball around is great and all with practice..
