Target of rockets of a terrorist group that only represents a minority of a group of people. This is exactly why I rarely participate in political discussions!

thousands of rockets nonetheless

my question stands - how would you react ?

Your thousands of rockets statement is completely false. Regardless, target the terrorists because they are ones responsible. However, Israel is doing the exact opposite by indiscrimminately attacking everyone, whether they be children, the elderly, or a caring, loving mother.

actually they represent the majority (of the voters), as the Hamas are the elected representatives/governing party of Gaza

Typical statement of somebody who doesn't know the facts (and those links you posted were bogus, too), but I'll just let you be on your merry way.

Since 2001, Palestinian militants have launched thousands of rocket and mortar attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip as part of the continuing Arab–Israeli conflict. As of July 2014 the attacks have killed 28 people,[1] mostly civilians, and injured thousands, but their main effect is their creation of widespread psychological trauma and disruption of daily life among the Israeli populace.[2] Medical studies in Sderot, the Israeli city closest to the Gaza Strip, have documented a post-traumatic stress disorder incidence among young children of almost 50%, as well as high rates of depression and miscarriage.[3][4][5] A public opinion poll conducted in March 2013 found that most Palestinians do not support firing rockets at Israel from the Gaza Strip.[6]

And you took that literally?! What the heck?! And like I said before, why bring civilians into this? In context of what's going on now, Palestinians would be glad if only 28 people died as opposed to hundreds.

Israel is doing what it needs to bc no one else will. There is only one way to deal with terrorists.

Define terrorists?

If you mean Palestinian civilians resisting the illegal occupation of their lands and rights then every resistance fighter in the WW's was a terrorist!

Ehhh... Israel tried to pull out of Gaza in 2005.  They left, bulldozed their own settlement, left greenhouses that produced flowers to help kickstart industry, and forced out their own settlers who didn't want to leave.  Didn't help.

If you mean illegal occupation as in Israel itself, then it's not legal.  100% legal.  Maybe not exactly fair, but that's more due to the legacy of colonialism than anything else.

Israel's attacks are hardly indiscriminate.  They are targeted directly towards terrorists.  The problem is terrorists hide themselves and their weapons among civilian targets.

Perfect example is a UN school that was built specifically as a haven for Palestinians where UN inspectors (not Israel) found rockets hidden.  Terrorist targets and civilian targets are one in the same.  The best way to reduce civilian casualties may be more ground based efforts and less reliance on air support, but that leads to other problems.

It's a fact, not a metaphor. You can only "take it literally"

Anyway, no point discussing with you if you can't cope with the most common of facts. (that even palestinians and Hamas don't deny)

You're making the assumption that Gaza has real and free democracy.  Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I do not believe that is the case.

indeed it's not the case - Hamas literally kills their political opponents (Fatah for example)
