Yeah, it's like the feeling you get when you open where you keep your condoms and then there is nothing there. What do you do? Ohh well, no playing safe this time.

When I was little, I used to look at the manuals in anticipation of playing the game on the trip home from the store. I also miss cardboard boxes.

I don't think I could switch to downloading games as opposed to purchasing a physical copy either. And yes I used to smell the manuals too and compare which had the best smell!

I don't really miss them. Only a few games really needed them. I liked them for fighting games, as having to look moves up from a help menu sucks, but manuals rarely had all the moves, anyway. I rarely opened them otherwise, unless I was stuck.

Yeah, all of them are digital now, installed with the game. Sad.

Yeah, and not only that. Today, games thinks we are dumb and say things like "Press X to jump the gap" giving us 2h of unnecessary tutorials.

I enjoyed reading them as a kid. It was a part of the experience, so the memory is nostalgic.

I don't mind at all that they're basically gone though. I think it's silly for people to want them just because of that bit of nostalgia. Enjoy the memories and manuals you DO have and look forward rather than trying to cling to the things that made you happy as a kid when they just don't make sense anymore.

But that's just me.

I never read them. But I always checked anyway to see if there was something cool with them like a poster or something.

Kinda miss the artwork, but the ability to download games digitally now is much more important to me than manuals.
