Not sure what you mean. So NIntendo had a boost because they released MK8... while PS4 has been pretty much holding steady the last few months. XB1 has only increased it's sales in June because of a massive price drop... and when you take into account that it's only increased 8% if you look at the last few months.. nothing at all to celebrate (its a minor disaster for them to be fair).

Shrinking sales argument is actually just the normal ebb and flow of games coming out for a system or a massive price drop. Expect the XB1 and Wii-u sales to start to drop again for July... simples. Gap will increase again. So no they are not gains at the PS4's expense.

Why targeting the Wii audience won't work
To understand why House's ambitious strategy is flawed, we need to realize that Nintendo's Wii audience was mainly split into two groups -- core Nintendo gamers who previously owned GameCubes and N64s, and new casual gamers, who never took console gaming seriously.

 


But owned a PS1 for games like Dance Dance Revolution and a PS2 for games like Singstar and Buzz :p

I Sony is smart, they should worry about their competition. That goes for any company.

 I don't think it was the biggest, that award should go with DS, that almost outsold PS2.

Yeah exactly. There is no way Andrew House isn't aware that the Wii audience wasn't mostly people who never owned a console before and are now playing on smartphones. Its just a cover for excusing their one year old remasters.
