Forums - Sales - Amiibo. The next biggest thing on Ebay?

Do you think Amiibo are going to sell like pokemon 1998 or Wii 2006?

No, they'll do fine, not a phenomenon. 28 56.00%

Gangbuster holiday. Your... 16 32.00%

Honestly, no one here is qualified to give you advice on such any financial venture. I have nothing against resellers, so I'd help you if I could really predict it, but no one here can. They can just tell you if they personally are interested in it.

Do you every feel bad for what you do? Just wondering :).

Only when I don't get a positive return.

I know, the practice is not well accepted, but please understand that I take a financial risk as well.  You win some, you lose some, I'm not at all very wealthy from my ventures.  I still hold a common everyday job, still strive to pay the bills, still go to school to better my quality of life, etc.  I get it, we're pegged as monsters, but I never force anyone to buy these things from me.  Those who buy them are the more wealthier people who are willing to fork over crazy amounts to get it.  I just provide that sevice.

I wasn't judging you I just wanted to see what would said and I can see your a good person.

Haha.  To be honest, I just wanted to talk about Amiibo, I just happen to mention I'm a reseller because it relates to the topic.  First and foremost, when I do this kind of thing, it's because I enjoy the product, that's why I'm always a 3-way console owner.  The Wii U investment, I bought two, one to keep and one to sell.  I saw it wasn't going for much, so I just gave it to my niece and she's still playing it today.  For the Amiibo, I do see it as a strong seller, something I would risk a lot of money on.  One of the things I do that a reseller should do is keeping them.  I'm certanly keeping a Mario and Fox and if I'm not careful, I might just keep all of that aren't duplicates.

As for Amiibo, it's going to be the next pokemon card, yu-gi-oh, the interactive thing that will keep kids in playgrounds talking about afterschool matches.  They'll be taken away by teachers, considered the devil's work by non-profit-orginizations, Amiibonations, Tomagatchi, tickle me Elmos, the reason why Sony and Microsoft are going to have NFC toys themselves, the thing that is annoying you because everyone else is into it and you're not.  Bold prediction, but probably wrong.  But here I am saying it, it's going to be big.  This thread will have a part 2 after January figures come in and loud and proud I will be correct.

Maybe :).

I understand that.  I would be a bad reseller if I'd take Game_Gods' advice and buy screws, though it is always good to buy at bulk and at low.  It's not the 1800s anymore so I don't think that would be a product for me.  I'm not here to get advice, I'm here to listen and hear.  I for one am very excited about Amiibo and would like to know if anyone is as excited about them as well.  Basically, i'm eyeballing the distance to the fork in the road.
