Forums - Sony - Got a PS4

So I finally decided to dive into this gen, and started by purchasing PS4 Watchdogs bundle. Despite my hatred for the PS3 controller, am actually finding PS4 controller much better, both ergonomically and aesthetically.

The system itself hasn't blown me away, like last gen consoles, the gap just doesn't seem to be that huge in terms of quality and quantity of games.

Anyhow, anyone got any game recommendations? I also got a Vita that's been collecting dust for the last year or so, so will plug that in and see the crossplay thingy majig.

Also going to pick up PS+ later, see what games come with it etc. By any chance, if I subscribe to PS+ but my subscription ends because I've stopped playing PS4, I know I can't access the "free" games anymore, but will I be able to again should I renew the subscription?

Yes, all those game will be available again.

I don't know if you're a fan of smaller games, but I'd get Resogun. It's like $15 and great fun!

Yes. When you renew your subscription you regain access to every free PS+ game you've downloaded previously.

You haven't really given us an idea as to what your gaming preferences are, so I'll name a few games I've enjoyed so far:
- Don't Starve
- Resogun
- Tomb Raider (if you didn't play it in previous gen)
- Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag
- Guacamelee (if you haven't played it on PS3 or Vita)

Congrats on your purchase!
Im more interested in your opinion on watch dogs though!

Watch Dogs isn't very graphically impressive really, and neither are the other cross-gen titles so you won't be blown away by them visually speaking. If you want a taste of what "next-gen" is about, then I'd suggest picking up inFAMOUS: Second Son as the visuals are draw-dropping, the acting is incredible, and the game itself is a lot of fun to play.

The Destiny Beta is out on Thursday, so that should keep you entertained for a little while, then there is The Last of Us: Remastered coming soon, and Diable 3 next month. A tip regarding the Destiny Beta; you can pre-order through Amazon, get your code and play the beta, then cancel your pre-order if the game isn't for you and you don't get charged a penny/cent! Also, congratulations on your purchase, I hope you enjoy it!

Welcome to the Dark Side.

Now go watch some streams about people doing stupid stuff. It's so stupid it's entertaining. Like Jerry Springer.

If you have a friend with PS+ and a PS4, then the steps that enable you two to gameshare should allow you the benefits of PS+. (Only used the game sharing as me and my game share buddy have PS+ and feel it's worth the $30 Black Friday price every year.)

Thanks jlmurph!

Go play Titan Fall and Dead Rising 3.
