The overwhelming majority seem to be picking 6th>5th>7th>Xth (variable)
Seems like the Era of PS2, Gamecube and Xbox were very fond memories indeed.

But dude, how are you posting this now if you weren't alive for 7th gen and 8th gen? o_0 |
Iima ghost

| Troll_Whisperer said: Why do you separate the 7th gen in halves? A gen is a gen. For me 6>7>5. I don't remember anything pre-PlayStation and the 8th gen is too young to judge. |
lol I know.. But whatever. Even though it's one gen, the first and second halves were so radically different that i realize it's hard to place it somewhere in comparison to the others. In 2008, I felt like 7th gen far surpassed the 6th, but now that the generation is over, i might actually like the 6th gen better. So that shows you how I feel about the two halves.

So you basically think that gaming kept getting better and better until the 7th gen? That's pretty cool. I think it peaked during 4th
I honestly am shocked at how many people picked 6th. I really thought 4th and 5th were going to be the real juggernauts here
#1 - 7th/3rd (tie)
#2 - 5th
#3 - 4th
#4 - 6th
My favorite gen is kinda based on how much I gamed in that gen. This last gen (7th) and my first gen (3rd) is when I've gamed the most, and I lost almost all interest in gaming during the 6th gen and kinda skipped the 4th by and large.
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Oh, dude, you haven't lived! If you have any interest in retro-gaming, you should absolutely revisit the 4th gen. That's where the best games were, IMHO.

5th = ps1 aka when Squaresoft was king, 'nuff said
"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)
"WAR is a racket. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler
From my experience:
1st. 4th Generation
2nd. 3rd Generation
3rd. 5th Generation
4th. 6th Generation
5th. 7th Generation
6th. 8th Generation
1st and 2nd Generations (Magnavox Odyssey, Atari 2600, Colleco Intellvision etc.) I never experienced so I can't really rank them in this list.
Which ever gen had PS1 first PS2 2nd and everything else in no particular order afterwards.
