Many developers are seeing HD ports as a quick way to make money. Many are converting PC version into PS4 and Xbox One version for some quick cash. Some of these will ertainly make a lot of cash like GTA V. But I think rest wont be a success. Some might struggle to break even. The flood gate is open. And we will be seeing more and more HD remakes. But PS4 and Xbox One owners will quickly get fed up and stop buying. Especially from next year when they can buy so many awesome games (From witcher to batman arkham knight).

1. 2015 is a great year for gaming. (Uncharted 4, Halo 5, Zelda U, Witcher 3, Bloodborne, MGS V, Crackdown 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X, The Order 1886, Batman Arkham Knight, Quantum Break, Dying Light, Rise of The Tomb raider, Splatoon, The division and etc). People will be busy playing these. Who has time for HD remakes?

2. HD remakes will cost $50 to $60. A brand new exciting game witcher 3 or a old sleeping dogs HD? Easy choice.

3. Most of these HD remakes will be coming in 2015. In that year aniticipated games will struggle to make money. Who has time to play remakes.

4. Seeing the value devs who were preparing more HD remakes for PS4 and Xbox One will stop making those.

I hope youre right. Its just sad that publishers have to lose money before they stop...

I enjoy HD Remakes too, we all know the big games are coming, and having games, be it indie or AAA Last gen, are fine.

Games are games at the end of the day, we don't buy every game that releases, so if a specific hd remaster doesn't float your boat, don't complain about it, and spend your money on something that interests you more, the people who want to re-play or missed out the last gen game will buy it.

I am giving my opinion about the future of HD remakes. I dint said they are bad. I will be getting TLoU R and GTA V at day one.

Lol, they won't stop, they will never stop. People like money and they want to milk it more by giving you the same game with a better resolution and slightly better visuals. It takes less time to do, costs them less money and they can charge full price for everyone to flock out and buy it again. They will continue to do this until people be smart and actually see this and stop buying the same game.

I know, wasn't directed at you, was directed at the thousands of people who say 'I dont get the point of TLOU R' or 'TLOUR' is a waste of money' and people who think ports/remasters should stop completely.

Infact I think if you're gonna bring a game cross gen, it should at least be remastered. Which is why i'm dissapointed halo 1,3 and 4 is getting just upressed and better framerate, but at least 2 is getting a remaster.

TLOU at 1080/60 plus increased textures is gonna be awesome
