But yeah, they still COULD do better.

Regardless of competition, selling than 10k/week in Japan should be not be spinned as a good thing. Especially for a console getting close to the end of its 2nd year on the market.

Well I see Nintendo cemented themselves in to the 8th generation finally. They've been mudding around a bit so I'm glad the foundations are going to be solid soon.

Not a bad baseline for a 8th gen console in the Summer. Looks like the X1 and Wii U could end up having a big fight for second place.

That is, if NPD doesn't show these numbers to be wrong come July 17th.

Nintendo should finance a Youkai Watch game for the Wii U. That would increase sales a lot for the Wii U in Japan. Then finally make a main Pokémon game on the Wii U to increase sales everywhere else. Fire some people at Gamefreak if necessary.

Then make the gamepad optional to lower the cost and all games that need the gamepad would get a revised boxart saying "Gamepad only".

Wii U would even outsell PS4 for a while if they did all of this. :p

Well they got games currently. Granted not all of them are system sellers,but its games nonetheless. 

 

Nintendo needs to fix their problem on delaying everything and having droughts. 

 

I feel the sales couldve been stabalized better a long time ago if we didnt have 2-3 month droughts here and there.

 

Hopefully they manage their 2015 list of games better than they did in 2014. They cant keep affording to gain momentum and then to let it just drop because of the droughts
