Bungie website won't let me sign in :/
On the bright side, PSN is up for me lol

Its because you haven't tried to start downloading yet. I can get the store to load.

Its once you try entering your code / downloading you hit a brick wall.

It downloaded all fine and dandy, the install on the other hand ¬_¬

The download switches from 13gb+ to 173mb, a few seconds after it starts, and continues downloading in the background but has a launchable icon on the xmb, thats just how it is, it isnt 'taking ages to install' its just still downloading.

i used the eu preorder trick to download the beta days ago, all i had to do was run the restore licenses option and bam, done and in game.

I was able to start the beta, it just won't let me get past the home screen.

I used the same method, but even after restoring the licences I get a message saying "can't connect to the server to verify the licence". Do you have Destiny still on preorder or did you cancel it?



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Im sure they did see it coming, which is why they are testing it out this way with the beta so they can have a better idea of what to expect at retail release.  Very annoying though, but i guess this is what betas are for...

The bigger issue is not having a pre-install. I would understand if it was just the servers being hammered due to just logins but the fact everyone is trying to download 13.2 GB at once is whats also destroying it.

 

A simple Pre install would've helped the situation hugely.

I think they were trying to test how having a preload option affects the servers on launch day, which is why they had the preload in europe and not here.  We are the control group...
