Forums - Sales - Ubisoft shows breakdown of sales by platform.

Let's suppose that Wii U represented 0.49% of Ubisoft sales for the quarter, and that all of that was Child of Light. Let's also suppose that all of the sales on PS4 were due to Watch Dogs. Finally, let's assume that the percentages represent units, not dollars.

From this, we can estimate that Child of Light on Wii U sold somewhere around 30,000 copies. Of course, the assumption that percentages represent units is unlikely to be reasonable, and if we neglect special editions, etc, and assume that the difference counters the fact that Watch Dogs wasn't the only Ubisoft game that sold in the period on PS4 and that Child of Light wasn't the only one that sold at all on Wii U in that period... we get somewhere in the vicinity of 120,000 units (or less, if the sales aren't so close to 0.5%).

Really, that's the only take-away we can get from the information at all. Ubisoft can't have huge sales on the Wii U without releasing games on the Wii U.

How is this not good? It totally beat the PS4 last year.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Ubisoft haven't released a retail Wii U game since what, November?

Isn't the PC sales quite...underwhelming?

I mean 65 millions Steam accounts vs ~8 millions vs 4.6 millions?

Looks like for 2014 so far the Wii is the moneymaker of the Nintendo family for Ubisoft.

They released Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag last November on Wii U but it still didn't help them much for the quarter.

What's gratitude got to do with anything? Nobody did anybody any favours here.

Playstation platforms kinda accounted for half of their sales
