Good that they do because the Gamecube era Donkey Kong games and their rubbish gimmicks were getting old.  Someone needed to step in and - while playing it safe - make DK good again.

they already made metroid(it was always great until other m -_-) but agree gamecube had bad donkey kong games retro fixed it with dcr and dctf

I wouldn`t mind playing another DKR. Loved the N64 game.
Still, the update on the rumor (Monster Games' comments) kinda shows it`s not really a DKR. I could be wrong, though, and they are indeed making the game. I just don`t believe that Retro would be needed for that. Maybe lend some staff for that, but making it the primary focus of the studio it`s hard to believe.

Your point is not lost on me.  Is there really any way to know if they chose to or not?  Perhaps with Returns they did but I'm more inclined to agree that they were put on Tropical Freeze.

No I think that basd on common sense. I'd really prefer them work on something completely new. If this is true that means that won't happen until after 2016 and then of course nintendo will put them back on dk for the next console.

I'm not seeing it.

I also find it insane that people are saying "no-one" wants this while literally scrolling past comments of people who are excited. I get not wanting it personally but that's overreacting. Heck, DKR fans have been waiting much longer than Metrod fans.

I don't get how having two cart racers is too much when certain other genres are reaching critical mass on other systems.

I dont think that will happen imo they will make 1 more donkey kong then move on to ice climbers or something :P did that with metroid 2 on gcn and 1 on wii so far we have 1 on wii and 1 on wii u so im expecting another donkey kong country
