wow I get the appeal of the game now. Thats was a great video for us who had no idea. If this really is what the game will be like, then its going to be amazing(and yeah, I used that word correctly this time)



The gameplay is mostly from E3 video. I was expecting more. But game looks cool.

Yeah, a lot of people don't realize the scope of this game. It looks so insanely ambitous.

Yea the gameplay footage is from E3, it's mostly just Sean Murray explaining it a little bit more.

True. This game just rocketed up on my most wanted games list:)



One thing I'm not sure on is how much this differs from Elite: Dangerous. As far as I can tell Elite: Dangerous has quests and is more of an MMO, but how does the procedural generation differ between the two?

Elite:Dangerous seems to put more emphasis on space exploration, while No Man's Sky puts a ton of emphasis on planet exploration as well.

Oh that makes sense. I know that in elite the solar systems are procedurally generated but in no man's sky it seems like literally everything is procedurally generated.
