Bloodborne releasing "early 2015", to be playable at gamescom

By Matthew Reynolds
Bloodborne will be released early next year and will be playable for the first time at gamescom.

From Software's gothic action adventure, helmed by Dark Souls director Hidetaka Miyazaki, will be available to the public at the German expo in August.

"We're really working flat out to get this game out for early 2015," producer Jun Yoshino told Digital Spy and other attendees at a recent PlayStation event in London.

"We're going to be there at all upcoming major game shows like gamescom, where we'll have our first hands-on demo on pods on the showfloor. There we can gauge first hand the reaction to the game."

Leaked earlier this year as 'Project Beast', it was formally revealed at E3 2014 as a Sony-published PS4 exclusive.

Miyazaki has confirmed that the game's world is not connected to PS3 game Demon's Souls.

Dark Souls 2 will receive three new downloadable add-on chapters before the end of the year.

hope its what everyone is wanting.

also wonder if itll get delayed

thats good news

Dark Souls going down the full blown DLC path.....ugh, wish I didnt buy it day 1 now.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I hope they space this one out in the release window at least. With Batman AK rumored to be end of Jan or Feb, then Order 1886 and Witcher 3 releasing a week apart in Feb they'll just cannibalize each other sales from the PS side.

Great that it will be playable and I live only around 50 minutes away from Gamescom but the problem is that there are just too many people and for very anticipated games you shouldn't even try to play them if you don't want to stand two hours in a line to try it two minutes

The Order might have some trouble (though it already saved itself a lot of that by moving out of the holiday season) but Bloodborne should be fine anyway, the Souls fanbase is extremely passionate about the games and I don't think they have any type of real competition that can eat into their sales. Aside from that I'm pretty sure that the Order and Bloodborne will most likely be spaced at least a month apart.

Wonderful news. It's clear this game is far ahead in development. Now if only the next 7 months could pass quicker :(
