I really wish developers would learn to please customers and not thier own creativity. When you buy a game in a series or of an IP it comes with a set of expectations. If you don't want to deal with those expectations make a new IP.

...really? You wish for more overly commercial, appealing-to-the-lowest-common-denominator sludge?

What I said has nothing to do with the assertion you just made.

You said you wan't game companies to make games for the customer instead of being creative....so by that logic, games should appeal to as many people as possible instead of doing things new and different.

And isn't the fact that so many IPs remain static one of the biggest criticisms of those IPs?

No that logic means they should appeal to the people whom have already purchased the game and invested in the franchise. Make the fans of Def  Jam happy. Not every one.

Just like CoD and Mario if it still sells well they can criticize all they like.
