Because it IS possible and it IS on last gen hardware. Just conveniently left out of FH2, because MS.

The evidence is that it's not new and was already done on older consoles.

That's not necessarily true. There are people who haven't played Halo 2 before.

but its also really different for many of those who palyed it alreday.

As long as there are great games coming, I could care less whether XB1 folk can play them as well

You're right they are not on the same level.
The xbox 360 install base is vastly bigger than the ps3 install base in NA, many more people are switching from 360 to ps4 and get to play a brand new game at a discounted price. While the ones upgrading from 360 to xbo get a collection of what most of them have played already.

I've played the halos and tlou already, not interested in either for now.

Could've played all the Halos on 360.  

Nope you couldn't. I couldn't play Halo 1/2 multiplayer which is half the game .

Most ppl upgraded from PS2 to 360 and didnt get to play Halo 1 or 2 multiplayer as well.

Better at the very beginning of your generation than the middle or end like other companies. Sony is known for working on new IP's for the new gen and launching them alongside the known titles. around the end of the first two years.
