Can Youkai watch do for 3DS what pokemon did for GB?

If it comes to the west with the same strategy (a popular TV show, toys and figurines...) it could be a really big hit. Not as big as Pokémon was because all the kids nowadays play on tablets an phones.

This is so rare this days, a new IP without any hypebefore release gets so popular that has 30x times the preorders the original. This is going to be a beast! (Level 5 & Nintendo, please bring Youkai Watch to the west).

Im sure it will, I think they are just waiting for the Anime to come over which I heard they were currently working on that.

Since it's level 5 and technically not Nintendo, maybe they'll have a spin off game for tablets and phones? They'd also need to incorporate a card game in order for it to have everything Pokemon had.
