Forums - Gaming - Videogame based on something that needs to happen.

Have you ever seen a movie, or a comic, or something that makes you say "Mmh, this world is very interesting, I hope someone makes a game about it". I know videogameadaptations are not usually that good, but if a qualified team was in charge, what franchise would you like to see in videogame format? Which genre should it be? Who should develop it?

My choice is definitively Jumanji. Just imagine it, a dark open world jungle, with elements of the twisted and psychological and survival horror, mixed with exploration and combat (Eternal Darkness meets FarCry 3), playing the actual boardgame gives you things in the jungle or harms you, the rules of reality and the enemies change following the will of The Game. Probably the best ones to make it would be Bethesda, they could nail the open world aspect.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Not a bad idea at all Jumanji would be awesome :D

I would like to see a Jurassic Park game that works with the old Dino Crisis formula . Also whenever Im reading articles and books about the height of the Cold War from the Soviet perspective I always think that "Man that would be a cool setting!". Alas, the only time Soviets are allowed in games, is when they are killing Nazis

There are some movie/show/etc. adaptations that are really good, like GoldenEye 007, or Dragon Ball Z Legacy Of Goku 2 and Buu's Fury.

Yes, but for every Goldeneye, there are four ET 2600, three Alien Colonial Marines and five Fantastic 4 Wii (recomendation, do NOT play Fantastic 4 on the Wii, it's abismal).

I always wanted Tecmo Koei to take more historical wars and make a IP, and I know all the warrior games are the same, but with a different skin and I love theeeem!

PSn - greencactaur
Nintendo Switch FC - SW - 5152 - 6393 - 5140 Please feel free to add me :)

I totally forgot about the movie Jumanji. When I was younger I remember thinking it was alright, but nothing great. It'd make a very interesting game.

The Sixth Sense could potentially make a good game. The game could take place after Cole, the child who can see ghosts, has died. A graphic adventure (Wolf Among Us, Waking Dead) style game would be phenomenal.

An Injustice-style fighting game based on The Authority would be awesome.
