Forums - Sales Discussion - Wii Passes Nintendo 64 & Gamecube Sales in Pal...

N64 topped out at 6.75 million in Pal.

GC topped out at 4.76 million in Pal.

Wii is at like 6.918 million in Pal through 2/16/08.

Both numbers are sellthrough.

But for the week ending February 24, 2008, if Wii sells over 40,000 (which is all but guarenteed) it will be ahead of N64 in Japan, with years left to sell.

TheSource may have an article up when Wii sellthrough passes N64/GC shipments in Pal (~7.0 million) in a few weeks.

Poor PS3 Sales Means Smaller Losses

"Actually, because the number of units sold was not as high as we hoped, the loss was better than our original expectation," Quotes from Sony’s CFO Nobuyuki Oneda.

Around the Network

Great to see the Wii doing well, its good to see Nintendo back on top too. I've been thinking about getting a Wii, but I can't find one... ahhh, well, I still have my N64 =D
