Forums - Gaming - Can somebody answer me this question about Dark Souls?

This is a question for those who have played Dark Souls 2.

I want to find The Dark Lurker but I don't wanna just see how to find him from the internet.

I want to do it on my own you know....

But, I don't know if it's worth the try.Is it too difficult to find him on my own?

For example King Vendrick wouldn't be the worth the try since propably, I wouldn't be able to find him.

Is the Dark Lurker that difficult to find or should I try a bit more?

Same goes for the "dark" Covenant ( I don't know know how it is actually called)

Sooo.I want to know your opinions on the matter BUT...try not to spoil me anything.

Just tell if I should look on the internet or not ,for those 2 things.

I appreciate any help.

Have you found the NPC that lets you join the Pilgrims of Dark covenant?

i haven't played DS2 but as a massive fan of demon's souls and darks souls 1 i'll just say that i think FAQs are pretty much mandatory if you want to be a completionist about the game. personally i did the first playthough without a FAQ and then turned to FAQs on ng+ and my second characters.

also, i didn't feel like the FAQs ruined my experience.  everything is so difficult that even knowing how in advance doesn't dampen the feeling of ackomplishment when it takes soo much effort to actually do.

farming that bladestone in demon's souls was sooooooo much effort.   ..but god was i happy when it dropped.

No I haven't found the Dark Covenant.

Is that NPC difficult to find?

No, he is not hard to find so as long as you look into all rooms/corners of particular areas. I won't say which because I'm not sure if you count that as spoiling. The NPC is found in multiple areas and is needed to be found in all areas.

You will see Vendrick. Hard to miss him. His fight does require information which I won't say because you may consider it a spoiler. Good luck.

OWWW yeah i remember THAT!, thats the kind of thing you would NEVER find on your own, that dark phantom skeleton...

also on topic i reccomend you play the game without any help and then on NG+ use a FAQ.

Dark Lurker is one of the more challenging bosses in the game in my opinion IF you aren't a caster. As a melee it can be rough.

Without ANY help what so ever? then yes he will be VERY hard to find

I'm not understanding something... you can't find King Vendrick? How is that possible since the game basically forces you to find him to proceed. Also, if you have not even met the leader of the Pilgrims of the Dark Covenant, chances are you're not going to find the Dark Lurker on your own unless you start thoroughly investigating every single zone in the game
