So, another day, another update in miiverse. Small improvments, but they really make a difference on anyone who use its constantily. They posted what changed on miiverse and it realy seems they are lloking at the problems and wishes of the community while making the next update. Everything is cover, from smartphones to PCs. This team managed to make in less tahn 2 years a onlince service tah makes possibles share videos, pics, drawings, posts, coments, and support portable nintendo devices, home console devices, pc and smartphones. Didn't took more than 2 months between one and another update. Everything is online served, and the community is well moderated. You can react to post in diverses ways(yeah/faces) and everything scale so easiely to support more characthers per post, more info on profiles, etc.
Now lets take a look at wiiu updates. Happens 2 times a year, features added range from play wii game on game pad, but still needs wiimotes, to support to usb keyboards. Party chat? No where to be seen. Full ranged support? Mia. Doubly digital? Nah. Navigate using only Wiiu pro controller? Nope. Multiple aprtition on HD? Nein. Folders? ... Dimm the backligth of the gamepad? eh
Them lets remenber eshop, oh, wait, i can't, because the is no wiiu eshop on my country. But now, 3DS games are also featured, but you can't buy it. Maybe gift options? Nope, even if alreadly existed on Wii. Maybe buy now, download later? ha, no! Separate by genre? Similar to the ones i bougth? Tied to the account instead to the console? Eshop on PC and smartphones?
Even disconsidering thing like cross buy, region lock, achiviements, virtual console, etc, its pretty clear that the updates on the machine are pretty slow and disappointing. In the eshop, things don't look better, some aspect even worse than its predecessors(wii and 3DS). Yet miiverse stands out as one of the best services online. How can this be? How can two teams work on the same systens, on the same company, and looks like one can learn nothing with the other?
Anyway, i ask myself, if the guy behind miiverse was out in charge of updating the other nintendo aspetcs, could those thing improve drastically?
