If you say that PS3 version still holds tons of value how are Sony/ND abandoning you?

The game is gonna then be 30$ with that 20$ off. Your whole point of this thread is to get the newer one at LOWER price. Now you're complaining about your 75$ used to the first purchase? You want all of it back or something??? Even then, I didn't say use gamestop. Sell it on ebay, or somewhere else. You could get more.

how is that a contridiction?  yes, the game still holds tons of value on the last gen platform, but how does it help gamers who's transisitioned to the new gen?

that's alright.. i don't think you are understanding what I'm saying.  I still own the ps3 too you know.  I still fire it up because of the backlog of great games.  The ps3 isn't going anywhere for a while.  at the same time i also play games on the ps4.  it isn't about buying it at a lower price.  it's about having to rebuy a game you already own.  why are you going to buy a game you already have?  it would most make sense to have an upgrade plan for these type of gamers.  it's not like everyone likes to drop almost full retail for the same game and content they already have.. and it's not like Sony has a big catalog of games like these.   

yes i still have the ps3 game.  why on earth would i give up the ps3 just because i have a ps4?  there's still quite a bit of backlog and games coming out for it..  it's alos the old 60g fat, which i still have a good catalog of ps2 games for it too.  just my point is, why would i buy the same game twice for the same content i already have at almost full retail?  speaking which, if the ps4 had ps3 bc, i wouldn't even care about a remastered port.

I'll wait for a price drop or sale and get it mainly for the single player DLC.

This is really a poor complaint. What does it matter if you sell the ps3 one for the ps4 one. You want the better version don't you? You can get it cheaper by selling the old one off. You get it cheaper anyway, by default, with it being $10 less at the start. You still win out on both sides. You're basically making it out like you where being cheated out of something. Basically, you're just saying you want a upgrade program to all remakes and ports from PS3 to PS4. This isn't going to happen all the time. But you have several options in getting it cheaper. Ultimatly, what does it matter then?

This is not like what happened to Marvel VS Capcom 3. People like me who bought the first release were CHEATED out of things promised.

Then what is the problem? You say PS3 version still has huge value, if you don't think the PS4 version is worth 50$ to you, play the PS3 version, which again as you said has huge value, nobody is abandoning you, online servers are still up, you get DLC support.

Full PS3 compatibility would likely add 100$ to the price tag, bigger size, more power usage and external brick or something, plus Sony or any other publisher could no longer sell HD Remasters, so it waas always out of the question.

You're way too entitled imo, I'm really happy and often surprised how many Cross-Buy (PS4/PS3/Vita) games we get, if TLoU would be a simple port, then maybe a 10$ upgrade would be fair, but it's not.
