Forums - Gaming - Official Nintendo Magazine UK Calls Senran Kagura 2 “Filth;” XSeed Producer Responds in Kind

The last rant they had over Senran Kagura Burst kind pushed me into buying that just because XD granted it was also to show support to help get the Vita version across.

But yeah, it's actually not a bad retro styled beat em up underneath the fanservice. Not amazing, and it could have done with being on a more powerful format to run above 15fps. But yeah, good to know mainstream journalists write things off quickly without actually trying them. Very informed.

I wouldn't have bought Senran Kagura Burst if the gameplay wasn't any good. The games have alot more depth to it then just the fanservice!

Senran Kagura Burst gameplay being good? As much as I enjoyed it I'd have to say otherwise. It was extremely repetitive, using the same combos over and over again. The game was mediocre at best

I'll agree the gameplay is simple, but it does what it needs to be (a 2.5D mass brawler) quite good

Just surprises me this bothers someone so much. I mean I get not liking something, but such strong language over a game because you dislike PG-13 sexual aspects? Seems a bit silly for anyone, from a professional video game writer just comes across as lazy.

Waha, I just read some of their last rant.

"Let's be clear, there is absolutely no justification for this whatsoever: it is blatant objectification of women and their bodies. For those new to the world of feminism (more on that later), objectification simply means that someone (pretty much always a woman) is being treated not as a human but as a "thing" for others (pretty much always men) to ogle at."

Just another white knight who hates being male and is looking for any forum they can get to push forth their agenda. He's also a complete idiot for thinking that women don't objectify men. Why the fuck does he think that Fabio was famous? Because of his fine acting?

What a bunch of ass wiping cunts! How can you not appreciate such details in those fine curves! Who ever wrote this needs to go to Walmart, Buy Onions and shove it up his ass

The thing that upsets me is not that this shits on Senran Kagura solely based on its art direction/character design (which is an unfair thing to do to begin with), but that there is someone out there who gets paid to write something like that. Like, wow.
"I don't want to do my job and properly preview the game, so I'm just gonna say that it's disgusting to look at. Now, where's my paycheck?"
Absolutely ridiculous. Though at least, with a niche game like this, it's not going to hurt the sales. I'd actually say it'll help them.

Given Senran Kagura:Shinovi Versus and Dekamori (Bon Appetit) are coming tot he west safe to say Burst did well and SK2 will inevitably come over as well.

Can't imagine working for a niche publisher, already hard enough with limited budgets and exposure.

I think the responce to that was very bad an unproffesional, but i also think the point of the magazine is to encourage people to buy the game.

Bad for both sides imho....though the responce with so many wow's just annoyed me lol...
