Xbox one wont be in the lead by end off year lol! Why would you even think that?

It won't in 2015 either.

I don't see why people seem to think this when X1 has been outselling the Wii U all year despite not being avaliable WW.  If you take away the Wii U's Japan numbers alone then the X1 has sold the same amount as the Wii U.

The MK8 effect will continue for a few more weeks, but it's not going to save the system, and there is too big of a gap between the Wii U's next system seller (Smash Bros.) to keep it's sales momentum going all throughout the fall.

Once September hits, the X1 will gain momentum that will carry through all throughout the holidays

September:

-Forza Horizon

-Dance Central Spotlight

-Launch Japan, China, & many more countries

October:

-Sunset Overdrive

-Fantasia Music Evolved

November:

-Halo MCC

-CoD Advanced Warfare

December:

-Halo 5 Beta

-Fable Leagends Beta

-Ori and the Blind Forest

Your logic is so awful "W-well the xbox one would be tied if Japan didn't exist" you act as if the Xbox One has a chance in Japan at competing against thr Wii-U. The Wii-U also has tons of exclusives coming out this year and even more next year.

ur logic is kind of awful, too

the wii U is an "exclusiv only" console.

but games can drive sales, ofc. question is, how far. last year wii u gamed didnt do much...

not sure, why this should change now.

just look at the japan hardware bumps for pimkin3 and mk8. total same small bump only :/

xbox one will be ahead end of the year

This is WW, so why take out Japan?  One will have a chance in Japan.  And you do realize that many of the countries the Xbox isn't in officially, it is in, unofficially?  An official launch won't do too much for sales.  MS knows this.  I think they even know the price cut won't have much affect after June, as they still announced they will be ramping down production to let retailers sell the piles of One's they have acquired.

I do agree that the One will enjoy a much better holiday, at least in the US, when compared to the Wii U.  However, I don't think it will make up completely for the lead the Wii U already has, plus the Wii U's better holiday boost in Japan.

I think will be advantage for xb1 unless wiiu suffer a pricecut september-octuber. But, till then, this thread is as fun to wacth as those others:

Nintendo doesn't have third party titles nor the exclusives outside of smash that will sell well. Remember, Xbox One has yet to release in Japan, China, India and rest of Europe so we should see an increase in sells from that alone. Further more, Microsoft price cut should help a lot.

-3m?.. If it passes Wii U, it won't be until 2016.

8th gen predictions. (made early 2014)
PS4: 60-65m
WiiU: 30-35m
X1: 30-35m
3DS: 80-85m
PSV: 15-20m

Xbox One already released in countries that make up nearly 90% of the Xbox 360 userbase, outside of the first couple weeks those new markets arent going to add up to much. Also if Vgchartz numbers from last week are correct then the price cut didnt do much at all either. You are right about One having more third party titles but so far we have seen the PS4 versions vastly outsell them, Watch Dogs is one of the biggest games of the year and once again didnt do much for Xbox One sales.

Xbox One certainly has a shot at selling better than Wii U this year but its not a given by any means.

so the gap will become bigger with 20 more launch countrys and 3 exclusiv games?

interesting thought...
