Yes, buying exclusive content is very pathetic. Instead of buying exclusive content from third parties, Sony should focus on getting their own games released. It's very much on-topic. It's like Sony is trying to cover up their own lack of games with this. Invest in your own games, not in timed DLC or advertising rights.

I am pro-sony and all, but am I the only one that thinks all this "timed exclusive" stuff has to just stop? It does no good for the gamers. If some is going to buy destiny said person is either going to buy a PS4 or already has one. What good does this do selling less of a game to everyone else?

Making the right deals with the right third parties is not pathetic, it's just intelligent business, MS has been doing this very successfully with Cod for years now. Also who says they are not focussing on getting their games released? Just because they don't have that much for 2014 (cause we all know that Nintendo had no problem delivering their games last year, right? It's only because pathetic Sony doesn't focus enough on finishing their games)? They have 2 games scheduled for Q1 2015 already, so I'd wager that they are very much focussing on getting stuff done.

What was the wii U first year like? Xbox one and ps4 both have a crap holiday lineup, so what can we take from this? That just maybe you shouldn;t expect a super star lineup from a system's first year.

I am not gonna lie, I hate MS idea of good business. We also have them to thank for why we pay for something called PS+ now too. At least sony had the decensy to not tie services that you were already paying for behind the paywall.

Time exclusives games, times exclusive dlc, timed exclusive betas..... all bad if you ask me. Just wrong, but its the kinda ring MS fights in so now we have to watch everyone else do it too. Sigh......

Awesome news for PS4 owners. I was expecting 30 days or at the most 6 months. But 1 year at least for this is great for PS4. Sony really got proactive this gen. To think that prior to the PS4 reveal everyone was running with the rumor that Destiny was X1/X360 exclusive. Boy was those insiders wrong. That white PS4/Destiny bundle will sell boat loads.
