For me, an exclusive is something that you can only get on one platform and nothing else. Period.

...

So if a game is exclusive to consoles on one platform but also available on PCs, its an exclusive in my book.

Error! Does not compute! Paradoxon detected! ;)

Haha, it's hilarious how some people try to support their agendas with such obvious contradiction such as that one.

It would have helped if you guys read the rest of my post..... maybe then you will at least see why I feel their is a clear difference between consoles and PC's.... but yh, I'm sure its more interesting to assume I have an agenda.

I suggest you re-read your post again:

"For me, an exclusive is something that you can only get on one platform and nothing else. Period."

and then you go on claiming that if the game is on PC also it's still exclusive for you - you're contradicting yourself right there, cause PC is another platform.

And no, PC and consoles are not separate markets, they are targeting same audience with the same hobby...while collecting stamps and console gaming on the other hand is indeed different market.

Hahaha, you got me there ;)

I think it depends what you're comparing it to. For instance if you're comparing PS4 and Xbox One as to what you're going to invest in, for me that means they count because you're going to get more available games on your console vs. buying that other one. I mean most people don't have the PCs to run most of these games at a respectable level. Also we don't want to fiddle getting drivers and emulators and support for all these games so PC is out again for most of them.

An exclusive is exclusive and a multi-plat is a multi-plat. It's black and white. I just don't get how we went from the days where it was good to have a game available on your console in any form. Now, it's like "Yeah, that's a good game but it's also on PC.." Isn't sharing a game with the PC better than not having any version of it?

I used to pray that some PC games would come to my consoles (Heavy Metal: Fakk 2!). Now, instead of sharing a PC game being something to be proud of, it's almost like a mark of shame.

Of course if it is on one console and not the other then between the consoles mentioned it is exclusive to one but not to the other. People only claim it to be different when it doesn't fit their "agenda". Now I look at it more as a MS/Sony/Nin exclusive rather than a console exclusive.

I agree with this. I also would say that Titanfall being called exclusive is when they say its exclusive to "xbox" consoles. They are referring they are on their gaming consoles and not on those of the competition. People need to stop referring to PC. When they say console, they mean console. I do agree that its only mentioned when it fits peoples' agenda. Even if a game is on PC, it still would effect consoles and its competition because its not on the competing platform. Common sense.

Depends on which side of the console war you're on.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Titanfall isn't console exclusive, it was on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

If a game is available on my PC I'm not gonna buy a certain console to play it.

this.  why do i need to buy a certain console to play a certain game if i can play it on this PC that im using to type this comment (and normally with better settings)...

As a gaming PC and Wii U owner, and therefore having access to over 90% of games being released, I do not consider console exclusives as exclusives.

I also feel that saying something is a console exclusive in the first place suggests that it isn't exclusive in the conventional sense.
