Lanayru Harbor in Skyward Sword. Sure it's not too specific... but I just mean EVERYTHING.

From the point you leave that cave and see the Sand Sea for the first time, all the way until you finish the dungeon, it's simply mindblowing (except that stupid boss).

The (Spoilers) Sand Sea was awesome, but my first experience with it was ruined because I couldn't find the Pirate ship!

Still, it was one of the best moments in the Zelda series IMO!

Actually that happened to me too. I just skipped over Fi when she said to use dowsing. From then, I was like "WTF? How am I supposed to find an invisible ship?" despite having used dowsing several times before. I eventually checked a walkthrough and realized how stupid I was.

I actually used Dowsing, but I wasn't able to keep up with the boat for whatever reason!

I wasn't really that good at Zelda games then...

I love Grunty's Furnace Fun at the end of Banjo Kazooie... it's a shame that you can't replay it once you've finished it unless you restart the entire game.

Also... the greatest part of any videogame EVER...

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

May favorite part in MMORPGs is the ending :) its so rare people never see it :)

No seriously finding easter eggs etc. and every time I see some useless but totally awesome detail in a Nintendo game.

The suicide mission in Mass Effect 2 really wished the final mission of Mass Effect 3 was a lot like it

I'm sure there's a lot of moments that I really liked over the years, but there was one scene in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance that really resonated with me.

During Ike's invasion of Daien (the enemy country), you have to fight a battle in one of the more rural villages on the way to the capital. During the intro conversations (you have the option of listening in on NPCs before the chapter begins), it's shown the native Daein citizens aren't very friendly with Ike's army, though the impression I had was that they were simply patriotic.

What really got to me though, was the villager conversations during the battle. Like most Fire Emblem games, you have the option of visiting villagers in their homes mid-fight, which usually ends in your player unit getting an item or a weapon after the NPC cheers you on. One of the houses in this fight was blocked by an enemy soldier. Obviously wanting to get the item, I killed the enemy blocking the door, and went in.

The man inside didn't just give me an item happily though. He started bad-mouthing the player team, calling them invaders and such. He then gave the player an item, assuming they were trying to pillage his home, and reveals that his son died in the previous skirmish, implied to be the soldier blocking the house. It just really shook me at the time. It was done in such a subtle way, I just realized I was the bad guy from his perspective. I think that scene really spoke to me on how war is never as black and white as fiction might lead you to believe.

Little things like that are likely why that title is one of my favorite games. If that wasn't obvious already...XD

Some ones that jump out:

-Cecil becoming a Paladin in FFIV.

-The end of Mass Effect 1 when you find out what the warp gates are all about and the opening theme plays.

-Finding out who Reven is in KOTOR 1.

-Looking across at this in Xenoblade 1:

Also the first few levels of Mario Galaxy, the title themes of Zelda 1 and Xenoblade 1, watery pass in FFIV, first 3 levels of Castlevania IV, arriving in Zanarkand in FFX.  Every moment of SMB 3 and killing Ganon in Zelda 1.

I often change opinions like this, but still. One of my favourite moments has to be in Twilight Princess, when you're finally done with the first dungeon and all that came before it... and go out on Hyrule Field. The way it opens up is so epic, and many times better executed than in OoT. Epic moment.

Yep.
