Forums - Sony Discussion - Naughty Dog Working Hard to Push The Last of Us on PS4 Past 60 FPS

Sony's other devs must really hate Naughty Dog. They're always going above and beyond and getting all the attention, it's like having a sibling who's an honor student, an athlete, and incredibly good looking.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Multiplayer is awesome .I wonder if PS4 owners will cross play with PS3 owners?

The amount of work and effort Corrinne Yu puts in is insane! So happy that ND hired her.

Very cool but I don't have about frame rates as long as they are locked and no dipping with lots of stuff. Going on screen at once

I would have been perfectly fine with a locked 30fps. Locked 60 is cool to, I guess. 30 just seems more cinematic to me.

LOL silliest thing I keep hearing.  Ok well I think 1080i is more "Cinimatic" than 1080p because most movies are shown on TV at the resolution.

Sorry folks, better is better.

I think you're being silly. Resolution is a different matter all together but no need to get into that. Have you seen the responses to The Hobbit movies in 48fps/Hz as oppossed to 24fps/Hz? Many people, including myself, found the framerate odd and uncomfortable. It's just not what we're used to.

I'm not complaining about the framerate. It's not as big of an issue for a movie as it is for a game (because Hobbit 1 is the only movie i've seen that wasn't 24fps, and I watch a lot of movies). I play 60fps games all the time so i'll get used to it in minutes if not seconds. When I think of Naughty Dogs games of recent past, I think of them in 30fps because that's what I'm familiar with and they felt great then. Much like movies have felt great at their most common framerate.

Or love them because they share technologies and cooperate. They also bring more attention to the console you're both trying to sell games on. More like an awesome older brother that buys you lunch, introduces you to cute girls and you guys help each other with homework and studying.

If they achieve more than 60 fps(and I hope it stays at 60 fps and goes beyond that if ever) then wow, Sony should just buy Naughty Dog already and have them do all the remasters and optimization for all their games LOL. Although that would prolly kill all the programmer in ND seeing as how they're crunching their butts out already on perfecting a ps3 remaster and a ps4 game.

I am sure they are putting a ton of effort into the remaster for a reason no one seems to realize:  It is practice for making UC4.  I mean think about it, they need to port their PS3 engine to PS4!  What better way to do that than to port a recent mega-hit for some cash?

Different teams though correct? This the the team that made TLOU not the Uncharted team. Still, I'm sure they share info.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

How? By simply stating our preferences? I still bought the movie ticket. I still by 60 fps games. Or did I at some point say that higher framerate = no go for me? Actually, i'm done with this conversation. Sometimes people make it clear there's no point in talking to them.

I wouldn't think it would take much effort to get a PS3 port to 60 fps. Not trying to troll or anything, just an honest opinion. Didn't TR do it already on PS4?
