I think its a fair comment. Seriously, it's been less than 2 years if you're counting all consoles. This is very early, I mean early as hell. Anything could happen within the next 2 years and to be honest, it could be anyone's game. I agree, it could be anyone's game at this point. If the holidays were the next 2 months, we could definitely see a massive change in the field.

microsoft: 4.5
Nintendo: 6.3
Sony: 8.1

No one is above 5 million overall lead. No major game release except for maybe MK8, has been out as of yet. No new IP has truly garnered the darling moniker of this generation. I understand we have preliminary strong starters, but this is by no means gg. We have at least another holiday before one of the consoles cement their dominance for this generation. Right now we just need to see where this is going.

Wii U is done, very poor third party support. Nintendo can't back up the console by itself at least not to 80M sales, I agree MS could have a comeback.

Wii had very poor third party support too, but it's already above 100mil.  So you're correct because this is bizzaro world.

HUH? Wii had huge third party support..wii is at 100 million due to casuals falling for the motion hype...wii-u doesn;t have anythign that made wii a flash in the pan.....Wii-u is back to the normal trend as N64, gamecube, dwindling sales and third party support.

No, Wii did not have a huge third party support, not where it counts at least.  Think of games like Bioshock or Gears of war third party support.  Nintendo never got that. And yes of course, don't know why you mention it like this is old news, wii had a gimmick, great gimmick, best there is so far, but what I said was true, very poor third party, but it's already above 100mil, still a true statement.  So what?  Are we not in agreement there bonercollector?

i would argue you are right but then again i would also say that at the end of the day it doesnt really matter because the general owners of Wii dont really care about Bioshock or Gears. Aunt petunia just wants so WiiWhatever. ANd the people who did care i imagine would have another systemt to play the games and not deal with a gimped version of whatever. We see this in the sales of some of the MP games that did come to Wii.

If the internet jizzing all over themselves over a <60 second Zelda teaser hasn't proved that, I don't know what will.

a vocal fraction of a percent online does not indicate mass market potential.

you would think since we are on a sales website people wouldnt say nonsense like that cause it is easly cross checked.

What do you guys want him to do; say Nintendo's product is inferior? Jeez guys, talk about mountains out of mole hills...

but isnt that the whole thing? MS gets those must have games. Theyve been getting them for a while now. Cant really say the same for Ninty consoles even with the Wii. So maybe thats why MS gets away with some of the things theyve done. Now im not agreeing with it, i try to stay far away from MS consoles myself.

I'd say both companies get must have games, but I will definitely agree that the majority of people view the Xbone as the device that will get "mature" games and Nintendo won't (though Nintendo has proving they are more than willing to provide those. Bayo 1, 2, and The Devil's Third prove that among other already released games).

see thats it that doesnt really prove anything. Lets be real those games you mentioned are very niche, so the general gaming pop either doesnt even know or care. That doesnt prove anything. its not about M rated its about blockbusters. Bayo and devils 3rd are in no way blockbusters. where is the Batman? Destiny? Assassin's Creed? Tomb Raider? etc? no where to be found. But IMHO it dont matter that much, because i think it really comes down to an image problem. Even when the systems gets those games they bomb terrible or do mediocore. YOu only have to look at AC and COD sales on Wii U.

It makes him and Nintendo look bad for saying something like that.

Ohh yahh all the whining and bitching about watch dogs sure translated to low sales.  And the games the internet goes gaga over sure become mega sellers all the time.

While a PR person is going to PR it doesn't mean that people shouldn't call him out for when he makes bullshit spin like this.

...

not sure he realizes the number of 3rd party games WiiU lacks

I am going to predicate this by saying I cannot stand Reggie. It's not related to anuthing he does really, as I do not watch nintendo promotional material (nor do I for any company really, I just catch highlights). It is based solely on his face, his exceedingly puchable, shit-eatingest grinning face.

However, I don't blame him for the spin, it's part of his job, but this was a indeed a feckless attempt at spin.
