probably same reason most other devs have for not making games wiiu/PS4 id wager.

If they do both and PS4 version is so much shynierr and nicer the ninty fans would shit all over it setting up likely sales to be pathetically low.  So exactly whats the point of doing that ? aka lazy devs they suck they dont care and so on. 

they made a whole bunch of PS3/Wii games last gen and that the same if not bigger gap in HW

IF they are smart they go multiplat WiiUPS4, that way the development is nto that expensive. Knowing SE they will probably make it PS4 xone. Theny dont seem to want to deal with WIi u

The PS4 is currently dead in Japan (and only Japan counts for DQ), so SE would do well with 3DS only or PS4 + Wii-U multiplattform. Since Nintendo closed their European headquarter and fired the localization team, a western release would be more likely on PS4 though.

PS3, obviously.

They are not going to put it on one of two consoles that are struggling in Japan. And since they don't localize it....

3DS + HD version for Wii U.

Square-Enix isn't stupid enough to put the game solely on either the Wii U or PS4 which have no traction in Japan whatsoever.

Putting it on 3DS is an easy 3-4 million in sales and then you can put it on Wii U for people who want to play on the big screen.
