This'll certainly be interesting. By 2016/17, the landscape will be entirely different for both consoles I'd hope.

Why would anyone even the devs want it on WiiU? It did not ell as much on DS as it sold on the PS consoles. PS4 and X1 makes the most sense.As long as it is on PS4 I don't care.

Yeah seen this earlier and it's very interesting. I would say that the more obvious for me would be Wii U, as DQ was with Nintendo lately and DQ10 is even on Wii U, but on the other hand it didn't light up the charts iirc.

Second thing is though, Wii U is struggling, PS4 is as well, but only in Japan. I can see 2 scenarios for it to be on PS4:
A) Sony moneyhatted it as a sort of revenge for Monster Hunter, and to drive PS4 sales of course. Or B)SE decided that they want a World Wide release of the game so PS4 was a no brainer without money involved, also maybe thought PS4 would not do as bad in Japan.

I couldn't care less which system it's on, i'm just hoping it arrives in the US/EU before i turn 90...

Not really ping-ponged, it just went to Sony for two or three entries but has been back with Nintendo since IX. (By ping-ponged I think you are meaning continually gone back and forth, if you don't then forget what I said.)

OT: I don't really care what Horii says. If SE wants to make money, and they do, then they would go for the 3DS. The DQ team (or was it Horii?) said that DQ always goes to the highest selling platform, AKA the 3DS.

Where the hell did you get your information? DQIX (you know, the DS one) outsold all DQs ever made.

Multiplatform or Wii U exclusive, unless Sony moneyhats SE, and it is done as a PS4 exclusive. Though if they don't and PS4 sales do not pick up or some japanese-oriented games are shown(aside from FFXV or KH3) then it will probably be a Wii U exclusive, since it is the console that shows a brighter future in the game's main country.
