Forums - Gaming - Dragon Quest XI is in development, Horri wants to play it on a big screen

I highly doubt they're going for the PS4 but I sure hope so. The production values of Dragon Quest VIII were amazing.

The 3DS is probably the ideal choice if they want the highest sales but I think what's best for the series is always to aim for the highest production values. That way they can port it later on handhelds and stuff and still make a good amount of money from that.

Wii U and 3ds. They're gonna pull a Monster Hunter 3. But first they should bring DQ X to the west.

Why would you want DQX? We need DQVII, then DQXI, then if anyone still cares they can bring over DQX.

I don't know. It would be nice to play the newest release in the series, but any of them would work.

I'm hoping ps4, but don't they have a deal with NIntendo for DQ to be exclusive to them or is that just a personal preference thing they had?

The latter. PS4, here it comes!!!

Sounds like it could be 3DS and WiiU like the FFCC game. That would be pretty awesome really, but 2016 =(

PS4? Time to bring back that DQVIII greatness.

Yes! I don't care if PS4 or Wii U. Just please not handheld. I miss console DQ's!

Should be 3DS ... best platform sales wise, lower development costs, existing fan base etc.

But I won't mind as long as it's not an MMO!

Pull a Ni no Kuni and make it 3DS/PS4. I've been saying that for a while.

It'll probably be Level-5 developing it anyway, so we know they can manage it.
