Forums - Sony - The Last Guardian - we need to talk about it

I don't know if you were watching Spike/GT stream... I was

Before Sony's conference began, Geoff and Jack Tretton were talking

Geoff mentioned TLG and remembered how last year Tretton had said the game was on hiatus but Yoshida said otherwise

Tretton laughed and said "How's that comment looking now?" (or something like that)

So... I don't know if I'm looking too much into it or not but doesn't this sound like Tretton was saying "I was the one telling the truth, as you can see one year after"

What the hell? This is a mess. Doesn't sound like miscommunication to me because it seemed Tretton was keeping his declaration from last year, rather admiting that he didn't know and made the comment without all the information. So what the heck does this mean? We have Yoshida saying the game was being reengineered (for ps4 presumably). We have Ueda in December 2013 saying he was working on TLG but most of his creative work was already done. Rodhe, Yoshida and Adam Boyes saying it's still in development.

Best case scenario: the game WAS in hiatus last year, as efforts were (ugh..) focused on getting Knack out as a launch title, and work on TLG resumed after that

Worst case scenario: they're leading us along, who knows why. and the game is still in some form of hiatus or dead in the water.

No we won't talk about it. Too soon...

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

Neh.. we don't need to talk about it... not worth our precious forum time..

No point talking about it really because I'm skeptical if we will ever see it

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

But do you agree with my assessment of Tretton's words or am I looking too much into it and he was just jesting?

They know it has a big following, they wouldn't cancel it. Right? Right?

well, atleast the anti-fans seem entertained, but it would be amusing to see their smiles vanish if this project is reintroduced and turns out to be up there in quality with Team ICOs previous works (I admit the chances of that happening are pretty slim at this point)

That didn't save Santa Monica...

What are you even talking about? Santa monica cancelled a new IP that nobody knew anything about. There was no "big following".
