1.5m is way too low. It will outdo Watch Dogs

Speak for yourself, games this ambitious don't come along often, or games with this much attention to detail and care.
I didnt think Watch Dogs was going to do as well as it did so I suspect Destiny will do just as well if not better. I really underestimated the ability big companies like Ubisoft have to get more mainstream gamers attentions and I suspect Activision will be even better at it.

The game feels a lot like Borderlands to me, not sure if Ambitious is the word for Destiny. Probably more refinement than anything.

Anyone else getting tired of hearing the term Game of the Generation? It's like we're hoping for the Kanye West of gaming *shudder*.

How is it like borderlands? It's not much like borderlands at all, more like an MMo, Me and halo combined. Borderlands ia a straight forward Sp game, with co-op. Destiny is a huge Open world MMo, with raids, perssitent worlds, MMo mechanics, etc...... I

Horribly repetitive, lackluster combat, good graphics for its time. An all around unimpressive game and that thing sold 10Million+ at retail. The franchise as a whole does very well for its self. I don't expect Destiny to be as bad of a game and I do expect it to have better marketing and more hype. |
not saying it will out do cod or halo but pretty sure that $500m budget is over time like you say
if they have a few million buying DLC missions/quests with maps every 4 months,i'm sure they will survive

I smell like the dark forest of Dwemereth in the morning mist
fanboy til i'm bankrupt
Splatoon>Destiny hue hue....on a serious note it will be a success sales wise, however review wise thats another story.

"I think it will be the HDS"-Me in regards to Nintendo's next handheld.

both are very similar in the fact that you level up, collect loot, and go through missions with other friends. It most definitely resembles Borderlands in multiple ways. Add on a Halo aesthetic, a new world, and PvP, you get a game that feels different but familiar at the same time.
This game will be remembered, but Game of the Generation is really stretching it. I wouldn't even call Destiny a true representation of a current-gen game. It definitely still has a mixture of last gen-ness.
