Why do they need that though? There are already tons of MP games. Killzone is out and so is DC Universe,FF14 and COD. Uncharted has MP already for a TPS. Npt every game needs it and I am glad The order does not. Why force it if they cannot do it right? Then people will complain about it like they did GOW MP which ws unnecessary. MP has been ruining gaming since it became a big focus. Some games just want to focus on telling a story and The Order looks like it has an interesting one.

Killzone is out and player count in the multiplayer is constantly under 1000 online players lately. It shows that slower, more tactical mechanics of Killzone with a steep learning curve just don't gather a lot of interest.
I'm not saying that they should force it in The Order if they can't do it right, I'm saying they should do it right and implement it, in The Order or other game.
Uncharted indeed has a good multiplayer component that is very well and long supported by ND, but Uncharted games are still dominantly played for it's superb SP campaign, maybe because the first game didn't have any multiplayer so it's not really associated with the franchise. Maybe it will change wiith 4, but I doubt it.
Why Sony should develop such a game? Well because it's a very important segment of the current market and Sony lacks a game focused on that. First party game will always be stronger in creating a fanbase than a 3rd party multiplat. As long as Xbox has Halo, Gears, first Titanfall as exclusives and CoD with timed exclusive content every year, while Sony has nothing to counter that, the competitive multiplayer loving userbase will be stronger on Xbox. And let's face it, you may not like it, I may not like it, but some of the biggest Western franchises right now are heavily focused on multiplayer component of their games - Call of Duty, Battlefield, Fifa & Madden, Borderlands, Gears, Halo, aspiring but probably very big in the future Destiny and Titanfall, and so on.
People like to play multiplayer, not shoehorned ones, but great multiplayer experiences, and right now Sony fails to bring something that would get such a market reception. Planetside 2 and exclusive Destiny content is a good start, but that's too little.
