At least we get to play it.

It is odd though.  This will actually get me to buy a next gen Console and since I have a Vita (and want to play this on my vita) its an easy choice. 

Why wouldn't they? The only thing needed for a Vita release was a translation and FFX surpassed expectations.

After the #jrpg results, this is actually a massive smack in the face to those people.

It's probably not profitable. How many copies of FFX HD they sold on PSV?

They do not hate PSV, they just don't seem to bother. That's two different things.

More than they expected to. Don't have the link handy, but they confirmed that not so long back, which was why FFXII HD or something was expected to be announced for PS3/Vita at E3 in similar fashion to the FFX/X2 remake.

VG Chartz even has it at 450,000 with no reliable western sales figures, FFX/FFX-2 standalone sales (as they were also available separately in Japan) or digital sales so it's definitely one of the better selling Final Fantasy single SKU releases and it was merely a port of a PS2 game.

Accordingly to VG Chartz, the difference was less than 2:1 between PS3 and Vita. Which puts it in a better position than most PS3 games compared with 360 counterparts :p

You know guys... I hate to say (Fine, I don't!), but putting it on PS4/XOne makes far more financial sense than putting it on Vita if they mean to release it in the West.

On the bright side, at least it will look far better on the PS4.....As long as SE aren't lazy.

If this was comming to the Sega Dreamcast id go and buy myself a Dreamcast right now I realy want to play Type 0 and I dont speak Japanese so I needed a localisation.
